We stand in solidarity with our colleagues, RISD custodians, groundskeepers, and movers, in their demand for fair and liveable wages for the essential work they do. Their dedication makes RISD’s mission possible. We hold the institution responsible to model fair and equitable behavior. We are encouraged to learn that contract negotiations have had positive progress and that the Administration is forming a plan to address the lowest wage employees across the school. We demand RISD Administration and Teamster union negotiators to stay at the table until the contract for the custodians, groundskeepers and movers is ratified.
